Don’t turn your back on the ocean is still good advice.  9. Photographer towed 50 feet along beach by crashing wavesIf you’re out there taking pictures, don’t forget to duck (the woman above, a photographer, got knocked down and dragged fifty feet on the beach, and survived with a bloody face and broken arm).

 

You can be in for a great treat in the hours and nights following turbulent skies.

  1. I love the storm paintings, one in particular reminds me of Arthur Dove, a famous American painter. Glad you are enjoying the excitement of the beach weather…email me if you can, Love Suzy

    • Thanks so much! I live so close to all this and don’t get to it often enough….and every time I do it’s inspiring. I agree about the waves, too, what a sight. The Maverick surf contest is about to start at Half Moon Bay south of SF, they’re expecting some unusually big swells.
