Elf Door of San Francisco~Golden Gate Park

Tiny Door to Nowhere Just When We Need It Most

Some brilliant Anonymous has put a tiny hinged door in a tree hollow, painted it red, and walked into the mists.

Notes, good luck charms and pennies are being left inside the hollow behind said door. One note says ‘I like cheesecake’. So I’m thinking I love the whole thing more than life itself.

Some poor robotic child of SF said he thought it brought the community together, which seems sad political correct stuff. And the story’s reporter dismissively called the door ‘Low tech’.

NONETHELESS….I raise a rare hoorah for the Parks Department which intends to leave the Red Elf Door alone, not to be affected by government intrusion, heat-seeking drones, or the Sequester.

    • I thought so too! Thrilled to see something so small and bright can fire the imagination and fill the heart with happy thoughts. Nice change these days. Thanks for the visit.
